This week's block for the Splendid Sampler II is "My Flock" by Brenda Ratliff. A nice easy block to make.
I recently purchased an "Ultimate Flying Geese Ruler", so it this was a good chance to try it out. So good, and unlike the Bloc-Loc rulers, this one ruler can be used for many different sized blocks.
Anyway, back to the block. It was a good chance to use a larger scale fabric, but I didn't create very much contrast in my geese. Not to worry. Once there are many blocks it won't matter.
Now I just have to catch up on last week's block and then do a big catch up after we get home, as I don't think I'll get this week's done. We'll see how we go.
You can see what some others created over here.
By the way, we received a very welcome 9.7mm of rain last night.

good news about the rain - pretty block - maybe show us the ruler sometime??
nice little shower... now we just need to add a digit to the end!! I often worry about contrast on blocks as I don't get it well but as you say in the end it looks ok....
