Rainbow Scrap Challenge for August

Each month I look forward to the announcement of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge colour.  This time it was Orange and Brown.

Then there is the anticipation of waiting for the Squared Away Sampler Block, which this month was called "State of Georgia" and dates from 1935.

It doesn't take me long to get into the sewing room and start playing.  After I saw the block I had a bit more of a look around for browns that would work.  It is amazing what you can find in the deep dark depths.  These browns are very old and the top one has now only got a small scrap left.

There are only two more months left before we start putting the quilt together.  I can't wait to see the setting options.

I'm linking up over at So Scrappy.
