Splendid Sampler II - Clam Shells

This week's block was designed by Helen Stubbings from Tasmania.  It is rather cute.

I enjoyed this block as back in 2012 at Nundle Sue Daley was our tutor and our project was clam shells.  Therefore, I had some papers and a template.

The clam shells were perfect for fussy cutting - just a few so as not to be too twee.

It was fun matching threads to the fabrics.  It ended up a very pretty block.

I'm inking up over here.
