Busy Times - Bathurst Blog Meet

I had a friend ask what we have been up to lately as I haven't posted much in the last little while.  Well, it isn't that we haven't been up to much, but rather the contrary, we seem to have been really busy since we returned from the UK in mid September.  I had a quick look at my blog and we have been out and about nearly every weekend since we came home.  So, to continue, and do a little catch up over the next few days........

Firstly, at the end of October the Bathurst Blog Meet was held at Perthville.  It was a wonderful weekend organised by Deb from Frog Cottage Designs.  I joined in as a day girl on the Friday and Saturday.  There was so much chatting and laughing that I forgot to take any photos except for the show and tell.

Deb completed her two quilt tops.  The blocks were completed as part of the Tula Pink 100 blocks in 100 days. Deb met the challenge, which is quite something.

Sonia was able to show off her Nature's Journey, which she has beautifully hand quilted.  It really was stunning in fresh colours and so beautifully worked.  I love seeing the different versions.

This is another one of Sonia's, designed to be made with a layer cake.  Such effective use of the half square triangle block.  Kate, of course, carried out her usual role of assistant quilt holder.

Georgina has finished a beautiful Liberty print hexy quilt. Lots of oohs and aahs.

And another beautiful hexy quilt, this time by Simone.  The white blocks had little embroidered flowers, which really set it off.

Such talented ladies within our midst.

It was wonderful to catch up with everyone again, particularly, as there are only a few of us that still  actually blog.  Now we have to wait until Scrub Stitchin' when quite a few of us will regather, and then the wait until next year for the Bathurst get together.

I bailed on the Sunday, as I had a prior engagement.  More on that soon.
