Rainbow Scrap Challenge for September

One of my priorities once we returned home was to catch up on some stitching obligations.  I started  off with the easiest, but it has still taken me a week to make three blocks.

This month's colour in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge was dark blue.

The Squared Away Sampler Block is called "Queen Charlotte's Crown" and dates from the 1930s.  This was one of the fiddlier blocks we have made, but it came together with only a little bit of reverse stitching to tidy up some points.  It is rather an effective block.

Only one more month of blocks to go.  Therefore, the colour must be dark green.  I'm looking forward to seeing how all the blocks look together as I've just been putting them in a box so far.

If you pop over to So Scrappy you can see what some of the others are doing with their dark blue scraps.

That does look like a tricky block, all those points.

Back home? Do you have any more travel stories to relate? Such as, caught up for hours at the airport, plane delayed, crisis onboard?
