A Few Minutes of Purple

It has been nice to spend a few minutes in my sewing room today.

Knowing that purple would be the nominated colour fairly soon, I had actually cut out the block last month.  That made things very easy this month.

So, ta da!  My Rainbow Scrap Challenge blocks have been added to the growing pile.  I just need six more to make the quilt in a decent size.

Now that I have inspiration for using a few more of my scraps I think I am going to join this Rainbow Scrap Challenge. I'll put a post up soon of what I have done with these colours so far.

I made this as my RSC blocks last year. I want to do it again! They are fun blocks. These look great!!

Congratulations on guessing the correct color for July and doing a little advance prep work. Those blocks should result in a lovely scrappy quilt.

I made split-nines last year & sewed up the top a couple months ago. It's at the quilter now, so it will soon be a finish! They are such a great block with so many ways to lay them out & make a totally different look. Yours are so cute!

Nice purples too. Once I really didn’t like purple but I think it’s true that as you get older they say you can like and even wear purple. 😂
