Meet the New Girls on the Block

Our current batch of chooks are nearly 5 years old we are now lucky to get one egg a week.  Seeing we are having a house sitter while we are away, we thought it would be nice if she at least was able to collect some eggs when she fed the chooks.

Therefore, Mick went and bought a few additions to our little flock.

They are rather shy at this stage, so somewhat hard to photograph.  Anyway, they are three Isa Browns, which are great layers and don’t go broody.

Hopefully they will be laying well by the time we come home.

By the way, only three more sleeps and one day at work.  Getting close now.
