We took the sidecar to Townsville for the Ulysses Club AGM. It was a quick trip up - 3 days of approximately 700kms a day. The weather was glorious, big skies, lots of space. We met some other Ulyssians on the way and they were all friendly. We didn't have time to stop and look at much but did have a bit of a look around Mt Morgan.

Once at Townsville we set up camp in the Showground with friends from Rockhampton. We took a day trip to Charters Towers, another to Magnetic Island and up to Paluma via Crystal Creek. We had a lovely few days. The weather was kind to us as well.

We then had another quick 3 day trip home. We had intended travelling down the coast to Rockhampton, but the weather down there was feral, so we came home via the inland route. We still got quite a bit of rain, but not as much wind.

It was a great trip, although not long enough.
